Yosemite trip was NOT WHAT I HOPED // Wilderness Hiking // Camping // MotoVlog

Last week I went went on my first trip to Yosemite National Park. I met up with my son and his girlfriend for some camping and exploring. The crowds were unbelievable, but I understand this is the time of year for most people to take off and see this majestic place. We were unable to find camping in the park, but found a great spot in the Stanislaus National Forest at Dimond O Campground. It was outside the West Entrance and a remote enough to be far away from the crowds, well maintained, and quiet. Nestled in tall trees, Dimond O is located next to the middle fork of the Tuolumne River and you can hear the rushing water from your campsite as well as walk down the path to the river bank. Very peaceful. We did a beautiful hike from the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir to Wapama Falls, ate lunch at the Evergreen Lodge, went to the Valley for some sight seeing and then Yosemite Village for shopping. The Village was crazy busy and required a lot of patience to find parking (unless you're on a motorcycle). Speaking of motorcycles, I bumped into Tim Collins of Forty Times Around while in Yosemite Village. Check out Forty Times Around for great videos on "Motorcycles, Camping, Travel, and Adventure":    / @ftaadventures   A return trip (on my motorcycle) is in my future, maybe when it's not so crowded and hopefully when the Tioga Pass is reopened. It was still closed due to snow in the middle of June! Next trip I would also like to spend some more time in the Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, the Mist Trail, Tenaya Lake, as well as ride/drive up to Glacier Point. Honestly, I could use a full week there!
