It was made by Alberto Hernandez, the son of Juan Hernandez, one of the founders of Esteve Guitars. Alberto entered the workshop as an apprentice when he was 15. Currently, he is the production manager at Esteve, and personally makes their Juan Hernandez deluxe models, which now bear his signature. The Hauser model is based on Segovia’s 1937 Hauser was made by Alberto Hernandez personally, and is built with the specs and bracing as the original, and with the same attention to detail. The guitar is made of prime woods and materials. The top is perfectly quartered sawn, and has wonderful close grain. The sound is absolutely spot on: warm suggestive, very colorful, and very nuanced, with the basses that are harmonically rich, and trebles that are full-bodied. The balance and separation, are perfect. The guitar has the power and project required to fill any concert hall.
