So after watching the pilot of this series Alastor threw up some vibes that reminded me of the shadow man for Princess and The Frog. And after hearing that when he displays his powers or put on his demon face, the symbols are all voodoo symbols. Also that the creators say he's from the American South. And that hes got an got a weird creepy evil shadow that does things on its own so I bet there's some inspiration and ehs cahrming ways and wanting to make a deal I had no chocie but to do this it fits him to well.
