I colorized, restored, and created a sound design for this video, which offers a rare glimpse of everyday life in Oklahoma during the 1920s. Captured in the towns of Boley, Clearview, and Taft, the footage reveals vibrant Black communities filled with pride and resilience — people walking through lively streets, attending church gatherings, children at school, and families enjoying daily life in thriving, self-sustaining towns of the era. Video Restoration Process: ✔ FPS boosted to 60 frames per second ✔ Image resolution boosted up to HD ✔ Improved video sharpness and brightness ✔ Colorized only for the ambiance (not historically accurate) ✔added sound only for the ambiance ✔restoration:(stabilisation, denoise, cleand, deblur) Please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and do not represent real historical data. B&W Video Source: Solomon Sir Jones Solomon Sir Jones (1869–1936) was a Baptist minister and filmmaker who documented everyday life in Oklahoma’s Black communities between 1924 and 1928. His silent films capture churches, schools, and businesses across towns like Boley, Okmulgee, and Oklahoma City. Today, his collection is preserved at Yale University’s Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 📨 Contact me at :[email protected] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For any Copyright issues, please reach out to us first before filing a claim with YouTube.
