Charlotte, North Carolina: bigger than Atlanta, more underrated than you'd expect, and packed with things to do. In this video, we take on Charlotte in just two days. We cover museums, food, shopping neighborhoods, and nightlife on day one, then dedicate day two to Carowinds—the region’s major theme park with coasters that cross state lines. We don’t waste time. This vlog is built for people who want to see as much of Charlotte as possible without dragging through long segments or soft commentary. This is a no-fluff breakdown of what to actually do in the Queen City. Read the full itinerary on our blog: nowgoseeit.com What we cover in this video: 0:00 – Intro to Now Go See It 0:20 – Why we only had two days in Charlotte 0:40 – Where Charlotte is, and why it’s way bigger than people realize 1:10 – Fastest-growing city in the U.S. and home to major companies Charlotte Itinerary Day 1: 1:10 – NASCAR Hall of Fame 2:47 – How Charlotte got its name 3:42 – Uptown Charlotte's layout, parks, and public art 4:13 – Discovery Place Science 4:52 – Bechtler Museum of Modern Art + Mint Museum 5:42 – McGill Rose Garden 6:18 – NoDa neighborhood walkthrough 6:40 – Lunch at Haberdish 8:51 – Camp North End 9:27 – Dinner at Nina Morrison’s Soul Food 11:00 – Nightlife at The Scorpio Day 2: 11:15 – Carowinds Theme Park: full breakdown 13:12 – Final thoughts and where to find more info Key Stops Mentioned: NASCAR Hall of Fame A surprisingly solid museum even if you don’t follow racing. Legit cars, hands-on exhibits, and one of the most polished interiors of any attraction in the city. Discovery Place Science Science museum with hands-on exhibits, an indoor rainforest, and live demos. Small enough to do in an hour. Bechtler Museum + Mint Museum Uptown Mid-century art at the Bechtler. Broader mix of American, regional, and contemporary at the Mint. Blog has a tip for how to get into both for free. McGill Rose Garden and Rosie’s Coffee and Wine Started as an industrial lot in the 1950s. Now it’s a public rose garden with a café and event space. Also has a 34-ton coal hopper on-site. Haberdish Mill town-style Southern restaurant in NoDa. We ordered the chicken and waffles, the fried egg biscuit sandwich, and a Blonde Mary. Solid food, fast service, no nonsense. NoDa (North Davidson Arts District) Murals, record stores, bars, tattoo shops, and a few retail spots that are worth checking out. Still has a local feel. Camp North End Massive repurposed industrial complex turned into a retail, food, and art space. More than enough here for an afternoon. Try Gravity Sourdough if it’s open. Nina Morrison’s Soul Food No frills. Huge flavor. We had baked chicken, mac and cheese, yams, and cornbread. The Scorpio Three dance floors, rooftop patio, and a long-running spot in Charlotte’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene. Good music, no pretense. Carowinds Theme Park Owned by Cedar Fair. Home to Fury 325, Afterburn, Intimidator, Copperhead Strike, and a full water park. Covers two states. If you're into coasters, it’s worth a full day.
