Hull Trains Train Fleet/Rolling Stock. Hull Trains (HT) is an open access train operating company in Great Britain operated by First with services on the East Coast Main Line. Hull Trains operate around 7 daily return services between London Kings Cross and Hull calling at Stevenage (limited), Grantham, Retford, Doncaster, Selby, Howden, Brough and Hull with 2 services in each direction continuing to/from Cottingham and Beverley. During certain planned closures Hull Trains sometimes divert away from the ECML operating via the Midland Main Line via Sheffield and Leicester in to London St Pancras International. This video shows the current train fleet (May 2023) along with the future rolling stock and past rolling stock for this operator. Hull Trains currently operate 5 class 802/3 Paragon Intercity Express Trains (IET) which are all formed of 5 carriages. These trains have operated all Hull Trains services since early 2020 and are bi mode units allowing the to operate under electric power between London Kings Cross and Doncaster and diesel between Doncaster and Hull/Beverley. These trains have 2+2 seating in standard and 2+1 seating in first class. Hull Trains began operation with class 170 Turbostar trains of which it operated both hired and its own trains. The class 222 Pioneer (now Meridian) replaced the class 170 and allowed for 125mph instead of 100mph operation on the ECML. The class 180 Adelante replaced the class 222 and operated with Hull Trains until the class 802 entered service. Around 2007 a class 222 was damaged which is why they operated a class 86 with Mark 3 carriages between Kings Cross and Doncaster in 2008 which left with the class 222. In 2019 due to reliability issues with the class 180 and Great Western Railway having spare HST class 43+Mark 3 carriages available because of the GWR IET replacements] 2 sets of 2+5 High Speed Trains were operated by Hull Trains on certain services until enough class 802 entered service to begin the class 180 replacement. As the class 802 are very new trains there are currently no plans for Hull Trains to change their current train fleet of 5 class 802 trains. The train fleet information is correct as possible as of May 2023 and future train fleet dates are based for the planned introduction for passenger services. Past Train Fleet is based on when the current Hull Trains operator has been in operation. #HullTrains #Paragon #Adelante
