📚 Knowing Your Lexile Level = Reading Success! Our goal at Valdosta City Schools is for ALL students—elementary, middle, and high school—to know their Lexile (reading) level. We have seen great success with Lexile levels so far, and we are excited to see continued growth and improvement as we move closer to GMAS testing. 🔹 Elementary Students: Don’t forget to know your Lexile level and bring your library card with you every time you visit the library! 🔹 Middle & High School Students: Every 6th–9th-grade student should have a Lexile bookmark with their reading level on it. This bookmark helps you choose just-right books and set meaningful reading goals. 👩‍🏫 Elementary and Secondary Teachers: Please ensure that all students have the appropriate tools completed and updated, including library cards and Lexile bookmarks, with their current Lexile level and a reading goal for the upcoming 9 weeks.
