A video overview and user guide for TB-3PO, an applet for the Hemisphere Suite, Logarhythm Mod firmware on the Ornament & Crime eurorack module. Apologies for the information density :) TB-3PO is a TB-303 inspired random pattern generator meant for live tweaking and sculpting. It outputs pitch CV and gates, and emulates TB-303 sequencer behavior with tempo-sync'd gate lengths and distinctive pitch bend slides on the CV output. (Exponential, fixed duration.) Similar to Eurorack concepts like a Quantized Turing Machine, TB-3PO works in quantized musical scales. TB-3PO generates its patterns randomly but deterministically from a seed. Seeds can be chosen randomly, or manually entered to return to favorites. A seed can be locked and then the other parameters (density, scale, root note, and pattern loop length) can be modulated to affect the pattern non-destructively. This is fun for calls & responses and otherwise breaking down and building up songs live.  Hemisphere Suite is a wonderful firmware for O&C that can split the module into two halves, running a separate applet on each half. Logarhythm mod builds on this to add some new applets, including TB-3PO and Stairs, a stepped voltage generator based on the Clep Diaz eurorack module. Free and open source!
