Hi friends! Welcome back to Liang Ceramic Studio. After 7 months of hard labor, dust, and sawdust, I am so excited to finally share my completed ceramic studio with you! Just in time for the New Year, we put the finishing touches on the renovation, and the result is a space that feels both functional and spiritually grounding. In this video, I take you through the final stages of the build and give you a full tour of the new layout. We focused heavily on using recycled materials (reused lumber and boards) to keep costs down without sacrificing quality—a huge tip for anyone starting their own creative space on a budget. You’ll see how we transformed the east side into a massive storage and glazing area, refurbished old thrift store cabinets, and tackled the stressful task of moving my large ceramic sculptures back inside after months outdoors (and unfortunately, dealing with some frost damage). Pressure and frustration often coexist with healing and satisfaction, and this studio build was no different. This is the real life of a ceramic artist, and I'm honored to share it with you.
