www.misfits.bet A fool is someone who knows the truth, sees the truth, yet still chooses to believe the lie. And today, that’s exactly what many of us have become. Bangladesh - a nation we shed blood for, is now in China's Kitty. Nepal has been handed to China on a silver plate while we watched. Sri Lanka sold its ports to Beijing. Myanmar is increasingly dancing to China’s tune. One by one, our neighbors are slipping away. And what do we do? We proudly forward WhatsApp messages calling for boycotts of Canada, Maldives, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh. Is that the plan? To ban the world? To build some bizarre imitation of North Korea in the name of nationalism? But here’s the irony - the world is already banning us. Our passport today ranks 83rd globally, behind countries like Moldova, Ukraine, and Albania. That’s not an opinion, that’s a fact. We are becoming isolated. And our foreign policy? It's no longer based on strategy, diplomacy, or long-term interest- it’s shaped by what goes viral in a WhatsApp group or which minister can trend on Instagram Reels (It was deeply disappointing to see Piyush Goyal publicly rebuke the German Minister on a train - a moment that could have fostered diplomacy was reduced to an Instagram reel). We have spent decades building people-to-people ties, regional goodwill, cultural bridges-and in just the past 15 years, we’ve set fire to it all. This is not strategic autonomy. . And make no mistake-we, the citizens, will pay the price. Not the politicians. Their children are already in foreign universities. Their assets are abroad. When things burn, they will fly away. You won’t. (because unlike us, our ministers and their family members have diplomatic passports). We are merely distracted by daily doses of caste, religion, and hyper-nationalism, the real issues - unemployment, inflation, healthcare, education - are rotting beneath the surface. India ranks 112th globally in healthcare. Unemployment is at a 45-year high. Our public infrastructure is a joke. But who cares about facts when the emotion machine is running 24/7?
