#75 Judging the DCW: Will the Real Dr. Heiser Please Stand Up? (responding to Doreen Virtue)

Welcome to a unique episode on our channel. Because of the recent episodes our sister in Christ, Doreen Virtue, has published on her YT page, where a team of scholars and apologists assembled and criticized the character and work of the late Dr. Michael Heiser, we felt it necessary to correct ad hominems and strawmen logical fallacies presented in these videos. While none of the members or guests on our podcast are "Heiserians" and we do not believe in "Heiserianism," we do think that Dr. Heiser's material is greatly and unfairly misrepresented and misunderstood. Our humble podcast does not place any individual on a high pedestal and/or deified status where one's words are supposedly divinely inspired, especially because we agree and disagree with different scholars whom we analyze, including Dr. Heiser. That being said, we will do our best to objectively present the Divine Council Worldview from the eyes of the Ancient Near East perspective (primarily God's people) and different scholars, and show that Dr. Heiser did not invent anything, nor was his work unorthodox or novel. For this purpose, we have also assembled a team that will break down many segments from Doreen Virtue's video and give comments fairly and respectfully.
