Download Tabs: / threekingsofblues T-Bone Walker and Shakey Jake perform "Call Me When You Need Me", filmed in 1962. I was thinking about taking a little break from transcribing the three kings when I stumbled upon this video. The black and white footage instantly caught my attention. T-Bone was renowned for his incredible electric guitar chops, inspiring the likes of B.B. King and Freddie King, so it was fascinating to watch him play traditional acoustic blues. The parts are fairly simple, based on a singular riff with classic turnarounds. Section lengths are irregular and don't strictly follow a 12 bar format. It's unpolished, unprocessed and completely human. In a world of AI slop and over dubbed internet guitar performances, this was a real breath of fresh air. If you're thinking about expanding your acoustic repertoire, I highly recommend giving this a shot.
