My JW brother watched my YouTube!! (Show him some love in the comments)

Hello! I've received many emails, texts, and comments from people sharing their very sad stories of shunning, rejection, and abandonment from their #JehovahsWitness family. It is these testimonies and stories that continue to drive me to speak up and bring awareness to the abusive policies of my former religion. Notice I said POLICIES...I believe in religious freedom. If people want to be Jehovah's Witnesses and believe those doctrines, that is their choice. It is not my goal to convert anybody to my way of understanding reality. (If you've never been a Jehovahs witness...basically if you decide you no longer want to be a member of the organization, for whatever reason, and especially if you VOICE your doubts or questions, the organization has many articles and videos that instruct their members to SHUN (view as dead, no interaction, no communication). You can imagine the pain this causes...both to the shunned person AND the JW doing the shunning. (because it's unloving and unnatural!) I made this video to share a little bit of hope. Even if you think your JW family member has forgotten you or doesn't love you.....deep deep down...under the "group think identity" they probably do love you deeply. (unless they are a hopeless narcissist, which in that case...you are probably being done a favor by no longer having communication with that type of person.) So many families have been torn apart by the #Watchtower over the decades (of overlapping generations.) As we rebuild our lives, our communities, our beliefs, and even our worldviews...we learn how to be better people. We forgive ourselves and we forgive those who hurt us, because we once engaged in those same unloving behaviors. Never forget that we were once under the WT umbrella. I am no better than a JW...we are all just people. By showing the JW the same love, with prayer and patience, we can allow #LOVE to penetrate the force field WT tries to keep over their members. Please be loving and kind in the comment section...especially to my brother. You can attract more flies with honey than with vinegar.
