A client reported a bad smell to her property manager for three years to no avail. Eventually she complained of flies and then noises - the noises turned out to be rats! 🐀 They were causing havoc under the floors and she was very scared. Initially, the Pest Control team were sent in to tackle the issue but they needed an in-depth look at what was happening beneath the laminated floor. The drainage team followed shortly and straight away identified the pungent smell to be that of an open drain and foul waste! 😱 Carrying out their CCTV inspection they quickly identified unaligned pipe lines and loose junctions. A full survey was carried out with the recommendation of being destructive to access the areas affected. Because the issue had been ignored by the property manager for so long, the damage meant the poor owner had to leave her home and live in a hotel room whilst the works were carried out.
