Photographing the Sunset at Barr Lake | Colorado Landscapes | My Journey to Landscape Photographer

This week I took the advice of several photographers and just went to a location to see what I could find instead of going with a specific photo in mind. While the trip was much more enjoyable, the photos were more difficult to come by, but I do think that will help me develop a photographic eye when I come upon a scene. I did get some nice sunset images at Barr Lake, a state park here in Colorado, and a couple random shots but as opposed to my last two trips, I actually enjoyed this one more even though the location was less spectacular. This means I will have to make a point to return to locations over and over both for scouting and for new photos, I'm OK with that. Welcome! On this channel I am documenting my Journey to Landscape Photography. I have for years been a food photographer solely but am looking to grow as a photographer by learning landscape photography the way I learned food photography, trial and error. The difference now is I have many more resources to learn landscape photography than I ever had to learn food photography. I live in Colorado so I have a phenomenal home base from which to learn and explore. I am not expecting to make a career as a landscape photographer, I am only looking to learn and grow my skill as a whole in photography.
