EMERGENCY RECALL OF PARLIAMENT Executive snubs attending session Speaker adjourns house to Friday

The members of the executive and the entire ruling side in Parliament have shunned an emergency recall of Parliament to discuss and pass the presidential and Parliamentary Amendment Acts respectively. The gesture sparked off an uproar from the opposition side with the shadow Attorney General Abdu Katuntu tasking the acting Chief Whip of Government David Bahati to explain to the house why the executive had to take the speaker’s recall of the house for a raid. The enraged speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga was left with no option but to adjourn the house to Friday. However, as Timothy Sibasi engages the shadow Attorney General on the subject matter unconfirmed reports indicate that most of the members of the executive have lost in the first round of the NRM party structure primaries, meaning this must have been a retaliation.
