This is number 13 in my "Wingman Series" of videos. I'm flying in the number 2 position in an F6F-3 Hellcat. We're up against 3 A6M5 Zeros flying in the Solomon Islands in late 1943. My primary objective is to keep my element leader's tail clear. I ended up getting 1 and a half kills in this mission, and my element leader got 1 and a half kills also. I put some good size holes in the number 2 Zero on the initial merge, and my element leader finished him off later. My element leader killed the number 1 Zero pilot as I was shooting the number 3 Zero off of his tail. All in all, it was a good mission. This video was created using the VPMod version of IL-2 1946.
