Our Camino de Santiago started late today. The weather was a bit cold and wet so we camped out in a cafe until it stopped raining. The problem with staying in albergues is that you must leave by 9am so that they can begin cleaning. The true cost of cheap accommodation. It wasn't until well after lunchtime when we finally did leave León and it was a struggle! It's so much easier to get up early and start walking than to start in the afternoon. When we finally arrived to the albergue we wanted to stay at, we were greated with a roaring fire, a glass of juice and sandwiches! We had another wonderful communal meal, shared drinks and jokes while we played some games into the evening...
