I had to replace the lens on my GoPro HERO3+ and thought the drive between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale would be a great opportunity to test out my repair. A genuine GoPro lens will set you back at least $120 (without shipping) but there are clones on eBay that can be had for $20 so I decided to give one a try. The complex distortion of the clone lens seems a bit worse than the original but otherwise the contrast and sharpness appear to as good as the original, IMHO.
