So I put my thing in front of them, which was a big challenge for me. But I did, and people love it,” she says. Batool Ijaz, originally from Karachi, Pakistan, has won hearts in Kashmir by bringing authentic Pakistani flavors to the region. Starting with small-scale Pakistani dishes, she now runs a thriving restaurant that bridges cultural gaps through food. Her journey defies societal norms, showcasing resilience, unity, and the power of culinary traditions. My husband, Sayad Ejaz, helps me with my business. I believe that if you stay true to your faith, no obstacle can come in your way. I had no inkling whatsoever that I would be so successful or well known. I run Foods By Jazzba. I have set up this food stall in Kashmir Park. I started this business of making Chapli Kebabs a month-and-a-half back and I have got a very good response so far,” she said.
