A couple of weeks ago I got a rubiks cube to use at work. Just something to fiddle with in my spare time and I mean, its kind of a flex to bust out a cube and solve it. But anyways thats not the point. I want to get good at solving this thing (hopefully) and if i can somehow incorporate it into a video that would be pretty sick. 1 Man, 1 Cube, 1 pokemon game. So hows this gonna work? Well im glad you asked. The idea changed a lot during the development and making of this video but what i ultimately decided on, was this. I'm going to time myself after each gym solving the cube and the time correlates to a pokemon. So for example if it takes me 2 minutes to solve, or 120 seconds then we get a starmie. So i could get a dragonite, or i could get a dratini and the difference is seconds. Now obviously if I get lucky and time it right i can get a super OP mon and we dont want that, I mean the theme of my channel is suffering. SO that being said lets add in some rules. A little spice if you will, because we are chefs and we are in the kitchen cooking. I'm going to be banning items in battle for this run, im going to be enforcing a level cap that aligns with each gym leaders ace, and to top it all off i cant evolve pokemon. So if i get an abra im stuck with it. It should be pretty fun, my goal is to get better with the cube obviously and become an absolute menace to the cubing scene. For this i decided to play some pokemon black because... I want to I guess.
