Beef Pot Pie with Cheddar Biscuits | Family Dinner Ideas Yesterday's video with the muffins!    • The BEST I've ever had! 🤗 Vanilla Blackber...   Beef Pot Pie with Cheddar Biscuits recipe: Ingredients: 2 cups diced potatoes 1 onion, diced 1 cup carrots, sliced 3 pounds cubed beef stew meat 1 can beef broth 3-4 Tablespoons all-purpose flour pepper, to taste 1/2 tsp celery salt cheddar biscuits (recipe below) 2-3 Tablespoons vegetable oil 2 Tablespoons butter Cheddar Biscuits: 3 cups all-purpose flour 3 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 cup butter, cut into small pieces or shredded 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded 4 tablespoons snipped chives 1 1/3 cups buttermilk Directions: Preheat oven to 375°. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the potatoes, carrots, and onions and cook until potatoes are tender, about 8 minutes. Remove them from the pan and add the stew meat. Cook for five minutes, browning all sides. Remove meat from pan and add to the potato mixture. Make the gravy: In the same skillet add 2 tablespoons of butter. When the butter is melted add the flour and stir. Slowly add the can of beef broth, stirring as you add it. When it is mixed well add the pepper and celery salt. Add the gravy to the meat and potato mixture. Pour into a greased 9X13 casserole dish. For the biscuits: Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until a soft dough forms. Shape the dough into biscuits and place on top of meat mixture. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until biscuits are cooked through.
