Classic Coaches Clichés Aleks ⚽️ 🏆 POTM David Our first league game against Badsey this season was not quite the game we were all hoping for. It is the first time that we have been in a position to have an extra player on the pitch. That said our first quarter performance was solid and we only trailed by an unlucky own goal. The big positives from this game were the team reaction to the half time talk, which focused on the performance required in the second half and the defensive performance. At the heart of that defence was our Player of the Match, our very own Optimus Prime, David. He got the unanimous vote from the coaches, which was approved by Aleks, for effort, relentless application and energy in the face of a very capable attacking side. Next Saturday we play Badsey again, this time at Prince Henry’s, where I believe the pitch will suit the nature of our game and we will provide a more competitive test for the opposition.
