Today I'm using watercolour paints to tint my own botanical designs as featured on this giant PaperArtsy Printed Tissue sheet, glued into an art journal. A bit less talking today... a little introduction and some thoughts at the end, but mostly just a chance to enjoy a little meditative botanical watercolouring. These botanical sketches and theatrical and historical ephemera appear on the twelve botanical stamp sets I designed for PaperArtsy from 2022 - 2023. The Printed Tissue features selected elements from those stamp sets in giant size. You can use the tissue paper in so many ways in mixed media work, but this simple watercolouring gives me great joy. The art journal is the large Dylusions Creative Journal, and the watercolours are by Daniel Smith. In this video, it's mostly Anthraquinoid Red and Quinacridone Burnt Orange on the berries, and Sap Green, Deep Sap Green and Green Gold for the leaves, with some Shadow Violet and Indanthrone Blue thrown in for shadows.
