Scates Trucking, based in Parsons, Tennessee. Scates comes from a trucking family -- his father and grandfather both ran trucks -- and he says trucking has been in his blood from the start. He bought his first truck in 1998, jumped in headfirst as an owner-operator, and learned the business the hard way. Scates' W9 featured here was ordered through MHC Kenworth in Joplin, Missouri, and built with a 565-hp Cummins engine and 18-speed transmission. The factory paint scheme features Kenworth’s Legendary Red with dark cherry effect and white accents. After delivery, the truck went to Southerland Bros. Air & Fab in Owensville, Missouri, for additional customization. The shop added a visor, cab lights, air cleaners, stainless trim, and an air ride kit. Additional stainless work was handled by 12 Ga. Customs, including a deck plate, full frame cover on the rear, and fenders. Inside the cab, the truck received the "Seattle Package" from Two Bee's Upholstery. Scates had the truck on display at the 2025 Guilty By Association Truck Show in Joplin, Missouri. #kenworth #12gauge #southerland #twobees #customrigs
