Relaxing tropical garden tour in autumn

Autumn is one of the most enjoyable times of the year to be in any garden. The cooler weather brings releif for tropical & exotic plants that prefer the high humidty and frequent rainfall. Foliage of tropical plants seems to reach its crescendo at this time of year, with banana plants and other exotics pushing out bigger leaves every week. The night time temperatures have started to fall, but the frosts are yet to reach my small tropical garden. The low autumn sun still brings plenty of warmth to my garden, encouraging all of the tropical and exotic plants to continuing growing in deffiance of the inevitable shifting seasons. Wildlife too seems to be more active now, with a feast of berries and caterpillars bringing birds into our tropical garden. Passing pollinating insects also stop for a feed on the flowers of late flowering plants like Salvias, Impatiens and Iochroma.
