Did you know there are passages for fish and other aquatic animals in our waterways? 🐟 Fishways provide passage for these animals to migrate up and/or downstream, where human-made structures such as weirs, dams, floodgates and roads make this impossible. Construction of the new Cone Baffle Fishway has recently been completed at Pillars Rd in Dandenong South at the confluence of Dandenong and Mordialloc Creeks. In the next stage, we will be completing the Rock Ramp Fishway directly downstream and a final fish survey will monitor the effectiveness of the structures. 🎥 Spotlight Productions
