However, after careful review, we find your concerns to be both legally unfounded and vexatious in nature. The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light is fully compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and have a Data Protection Officer (DPO) on record. You are welcome to verify our registration directly on the ICO website. Regarding your claims: 1. CCTV Registration & Compliance o The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light is lawfully registered with the ICO and operates its CCTV system in full compliance with UK data protection laws. o We do not require special ICO approval to capture public areas incidentally to legitimate security purposes. 2. Signage & Public Awareness o In collaboration with our previous security provider, Alpha & Omega, we installed CCTV signage around the property, including both perimeters facing public roads and alleyways. o There is documented police evidence confirming the repeated vandalism and removal of our signage by unidentified individuals. 3. Legitimate Security Concerns o Webb House is the headquarters for a minority religious community that has been the target of hate crimes, threats, and religious persecution. o Our CCTV system has recorded serious security threats, including: ▪ 06/08/2023 – Masked men carrying machetes attempting to breach our premises. ▪ 03/02/2025 – An individual wearing a bandana deliberately attacking a CCTV camera with a sledgehammer. ▪ Repeated unauthorized filming of our members, including children, by individuals with malicious intent. 4. Public Interest & Goodwill Gesture o Despite having full legal justification for our CCTV system, and us only incidentally capturing members of the public, we are willing to adjust camera angles even further as a gesture of goodwill to our neighbors and the greater Crewe community. o We also attempted to install a protective fence to address security concerns, but our planning permission request was objected to by members of the local public. Therefore, cameras to monitor vulnerable locations in our perimeter were legitimately necessary for our security. 5. Legal Clarifications o Your statement that failure to comply incurs a £100,000 fine is incorrect and misleading. o Our Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) is complete and justifies our CCTV usage. o Removal of our security cameras monitoring legitimate threats will not be considered. 6.
