MV Clansman to Colonsay

Having already been to Kerrera on the first day of my Oban trip it was time to enjoy a sailing to Colonsay and back on the MV Clansman. Boarding the Clansman for the 16:20 sailing to Colonsay we departed Oban passing the MV Coruisk who was sitting off of the North Pier awaiting her berth at Oban. Having sailed out passing Dunollie Castle we headed south passing the east side of Mull and the Slate Islands as we headed towards Colonsay. The sailing down to Colonsay was slightly rough with strong winds and a fairly decent swell with the Clansman kicking up spray on a number of occasions. Having berthed at Colonsay there was a quick turn around before we set off back to Oban. The return sailing was quite the contrast to the out bound one with the wind behind us and the sun beginning to set it was a lovely sailing back up to Oban, with the sun setting fully over Mull. With darkness falling we arrived back into Oban bay and after berthing back where we started my first trip to Colonsay had drawn to a close. Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!
