Daniil Medvedev shared a remarkable travel story ahead of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, revealing how he and several fellow players were temporarily stranded in Dubai due to air travel restrictions. Speaking after his match, the world number 11 explained how he, Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev were forced to remain in a Dubai hotel before eventually travelling via Istanbul to Los Angeles in order to reach the tournament in California. Despite the disrupted journey, Medvedev quickly found his rhythm on court. The Russian produced a strong performance to defeat Alejandro Tabilo of Chile 6-4, 6-2, securing his place in the third round of Indian Wells. Medvedev controlled the match with his trademark consistency from the baseline and efficient serving, closing out the victory in straight sets.
