FIRST ROCK SONG Rocket 88 (BASS COVER with Tabs and Sheet)

Today's video is about Rock, Rhythm and blues and Rock''roll history. First of all, let me just say that this is an arrangement made for me of how Bass could sound in this song, because the original song, recorded in 1951 by Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats (better known as "Ike Turner and the Kings of Rhythm" with Brenston as singer) has no real Bass line. So what i transcribed is the original guitar riff, and i arranged it for electric Bass. Also, i changed the tone to E standard because i was finding the original a bit out of 440hz tune (something quite normal for 50's music), so i chose a key that makes it very easy to play on standard tuning 4 strings Bass. Many people says we can think about this song as the first real Rock song, due to the well known accident on the guitar amp, that created first distortion on guitar on this record. The song is just a classic rhythm and blues, already inspired by previous songs of this style; but this song is also the proof that the change of tone of just one instrument can really define a new style of Music.
