The GEOWEB® Retaining Wall System delivers exceptional versatility and performance. Unlike rigid mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall systems, GEOWEB walls adapt to soft soil environments, seismic conditions, and differential settlement, while conforming naturally to landscape contours. They can be constructed as gravity walls, reinforced walls, or even reinforced slopes and the flexible nature of the system typically installs 25 – 35% faster than traditional rigid systems. Each wall is manufactured from virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE), ensuring long-term resistance to environmental degradation. GEOWEB walls feature horizontal terraces with exposed fascia cells that can be filled with topsoil to support sustainable vegetation and promote stormwater infiltration. Where vegetation is not desired, aggregate or concrete infill can be used to enhance durability and provide additional protection. Learning Objectives: Understand the differences between GEOWEB Retaining Walls and reinforced slopes. Explore GEOWEB gravity and reinforced wall systems, including real-world project case studies. Identify the unique features and benefits that set GEOWEB Retaining Walls apart from other wall types. Gain insight into the design principles for GEOWEB systems across various wall types, reinforcement options, applications, and site conditions. Learn how to use GEOWEB MSE, a free design software provided by Presto Geosystems, for walls and reinforced slopes.
