Last year we followed the classic route through Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. And honestly, we absolutely loved it. It is the perfect first introduction to Japan and we would recommend it to anyone visiting for the first time. This time, though, we felt curious. We wanted to experience something different and explore cities that are often less included in the typical itinerary. We walked through historic geisha districts and old samurai neighborhoods. We visited beautifully maintained Japanese gardens, explored traditional streets full of character and discovered temples that felt unique, quiet and deeply rooted in history. And then there was the mountain. Standing there, you feel something hard to explain. Peaceful, spiritual, grounding. A moment that slows everything down. Tokyo, Kanazawa, Takayama, Nagano and Mount Fuji. A journey through tradition, culture and a different rhythm of Japan.
