Zinduka means “awakening” in Swahili, Zinduka Women group is made up of 21 members who are involved in bean seed and grain production. The group is located in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, Mshewe village in Mbeya rural. Among the women, 10 of them are actively involved in seed multiplication. The group has grown their seed multiplication from 0.6 tons in 2016 when they started to 25 tons in 2020`. To date, they have sold more than 223 tons of bean grains compared to 1.8 tons previous. Their seed customers are farmer groups and individuals as well as seed companies that contract them to produce on their behalf.
