The universe is governed by laws. Obedience to the law preserves life. Disobedience to these laws may lead to destruction. Three things you need to know about the laws of the universe. All laws of the universe were created by God. God is consistent He does not change nor does He waiver. All laws of the universe do not play favorites. These laws apply equally to all; rich or poor, young or old, every skin color, all nations, super athletes, homeless, and kings. All laws of the universe have a cause and an effect. What you sow you shall also reap. One of the most obvious laws is the law of gravity. What goes up must come down. The one who majors in stupidology questions this law. Break this law and you may be seriously injured or die. The law of forgiveness has a little less obvious consequences. The law of forgiveness is clearly stated. As you forgive others you will be forgiven. We cannot be forgiven until we forgive others. As long as we harbour negative thoughts of anger, judgement, hatred and intolerance against others we cannot be happy simply because while we harbour those feelings we feel the results of them. To be happy and free we have to give up all unforgiving thoughts. The word forgive is a two syllable word ‘for’ and ‘give’ and when you forgive it simply means that you ‘give’ up being angry and intolerant and you replace it ‘for’ something new, perhaps peace and harmony. You ‘give’ up judgement and hatred and you replace it ‘for’ something else, perhaps acceptance and love. Then you are free, do you see? It’s not that the ‘Law of Forgiveness’ is vindictive or spiteful or wants to hold something against you it’s just that all the while you hold on to unforgiveness you cannot be forgiven.
