Born: 13th August 1930, Ancoats, Manchester Died: 18th June 2007, North Manchester General Hospital, Manchester Blackley Cemetery and Crematorium Blackley Cemetery is a large, municipal cemetery situated within the northern suburbs of the city of Manchester In 1959 Manning borrowed £30,000 from his father and bought a run-down billiard hall on Rochdale Road, and called it Embassy Club. The club played host to many other acts, and Manning claimed that the Beatles performed there early in their career. Bernard Manning made his television debut in 1971 on the Granada comedy show The Comedians. Bernard Manning compared The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club, which began in 1974.
