They are amazing brushes and I could not fault their quality, however the brushes are made from a blend of squirrel and synthetic hair. I bought them without thinking about whether the materials were ethically sourced, but now I've made a decision to only buy 100% synthetic brushes as I do not want the art supplies that I use to involve any animal cruelty in their production. I am looking for a good 100% synthetic round brush, and once I find one that I can wholeheartedly recommend I will definitely share it with you guys! *Update* I recently tried the Princeton Neptune round brushes which are 100% synthetic and they are really great!! They come to a really thin tip so it's great for detail work.
