This documentary is about the history of the coloured people of South Africa, how and where the coloured race came from. we explore the historical origin of the coloured people as a race and struggles in the post apartheid era. The challenges of what is called the coloured debate. The apartheid government Population Registration Act of 1950 and subsequent amendments, codified the Coloured identity and defined its subgroups, including Cape Coloureds and Malays. Indian South Africans were initially classified under the act as a subgroup of Coloured and the result of this is what we call the coloured debate.
