Join me for a big Tuesday morning of training just over 5 weeks out from the Valencia Marathon — featuring one of my favourite interval workouts and a full morning of training. This was one of my go-to Tuesday sessions with RunAsOne — 8 x 1km repeats off a 4-minute cycle, targeting sub-3:10/km pace. It’s a staple I come back to year-round to build strength and speed. Tuesdays are always our interval or VO₂-focused days, with Fridays reserved for longer threshold work — a rhythm that keeps my training balanced through each marathon build. It was an early start with a crumpet and honey for breakfast at 5:45am, before heading down to The RunHôuse to meet the group. We started our warm-up at 6:25am, followed by a shoe change and drills before getting into the main session. After the workout, it was time for coffee and a second breakfast (fruit toast!) back at The RunHôuse, before heading over to the RunAsOne Athletic Club for a strength session to finish the full morning of training. The rest of my day included a massage and an easy 10km second run in the evening. This is a pretty typical Tuesday for me — a mix of community, hard work, and structure that keeps me grounded across all seasons of training.
