Hey everyone, and welcome back to another video. Today, we will be driving from Gardnerville, Nevada To Lake Tahoe via Nevada State Route 207 West, known as the Kingsbury Grade Road. Kingsbury Grade is one of three Nevada highways that connect the western edge of the state to the Lake Tahoe region through the Carson Range. The road is considered a relatively fast climb, with uphill steep grades at an average of 6%, and sometimes exceeding 9% as it approaches the Kingsbury area to travel through Daggett Pass at an elevation of 7,344 feet. The surrounding Kingsbury region itself has a population of just over 2,100 in 2010. We begin the drive on Waterloo Lane in the Carson Valley near the town of Gardnerville. We continue on this road for a couple of miles until it becomes the Kingsbury Grade Road or NV-207 West after Mottsville, NV. The journey ends just after crossing Stateline, NV, a border town home to four casino resorts, and then entering the California State Line to South Lake Tahoe. So, I hope you enjoyed this 4K scenic winter drive in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and please leave a like and subscribe to AKTheTraveler for more awesome road trips!
