Handspinning the second bobbin of the alpaca and silk fiber blend on my spinning wheel. This was such a wonderfully and relaxing spin. However, this video shows how the position of my hands and how I am spinning from the fold with a gentle grip quite well. If you know how to spin wool, but have struggled with how to spin silk or alpaca (or a mix), you might find some tips in this video as I will be spinning from the fold. Spinning from the fold can give a bit of a halo, so if that is not something you want, this is not for you.
