Throughout the video, Mike Haldas explains how most Viewtron CCTV DVRs and IP camera NVRs feature an alarm panel with both alarm inputs and outputs. These allow seamless integration with burglar alarms, smart devices, and anything compatible with a dry contact relay. In this demo, a straightforward two-pin push button is connected to Alarm Input Port 3 on a Viewtron NVR at CCTV Camera Pros office. When the button is pressed, it closes the relay input and triggers a range of alarm actions on the NVR. Once activated, the panic button can trigger video recording on one or multiple security cameras connected to the DVR / NVR, pop up a live view of a certain camera on the NVR monitor, trigger alarm lights and other devices, and send push a push notification to the mobile app—so you can get instant alerts, wherever you are.
