Like many others, we like to use the #Fairchild compressor on the Master Bus to increase the detail and give an #analog color to our mixes. To start we will select Full Reset and thus reduce the possibility of compression. What we want to achieve is the natural degradation of the analog circuit without the effects for which it has been designed. Full Reset simply reduces a little INPUT GAIN and puts THRESHOLD at the minimum, make a note if you use a model from another developer. To begin with let's increase INPUT GAIN until the needle begins to show activity. For this we are going to look for the most energetic part of the song.
