Thank you to all the subscribers and followers for helping on the last fundraiser to rescue a Belgian Draft horse filly along with 5 donkeys! Today we picked up the donkeys and the filly from McLean, Texas and got them home to the farm! I included the freedom ride video in this video! Everyone was eager to get in the trailer! This video however is for one more large fundraiser to help us rescue a team of grey Percherons and our first Clydesdale! Along with a Belgian Draft horse mare and gelding. We need your help to keep them from shipping to slaughter! The Clydesdale and Grey Percheron pair are at Fountain Hill Horse Company in Arkansas where we got Caitlin and Carter from a few weeks ago. On April 3, 2025, I was tagged in a post on Facebook about a Clydesdale and a team of grey Percherons that were in danger of shipping to slaughter. Romeo, a 15 year old, 17.1 hands, grey Percheron gelding is bonded to Juliet, a 14 year old 17.1 hand, grey Percheron mare. The Clydesdale is a 5 years old 18.1 hands gelding and absolutely stunning! They are scheduled to ship to slaughter on Monday and we could use your help to save their lives. While working on the 3 horses at Fountain Hills, a Belgian Draft horse mare and gelding came into Bowie Texas Livestock as well. The Belgians at Bowie seem to be in good condition and we would love to give them a place to retire after their years of working. There was no way I was going to let these beautiful horses ship to slaughter! So...we are doing one more big fundraiser to save these five lives from shipping to slaughter in Mexico! If you can support this fundraiser to cover bail and transportation from Arkansas to Texas, we would greatly appreciate your support! These horses deserve a place to retire in dignity and grace! We also have a fundraiser going for all the medical bills for the 89 equines we have rescued since the beginning of September 2024. All the details of the fundraiser along with copies of the medical bills are on the Big Hoof Foundations website. We have also created a fundraiser for feed! With soon to be 91 horses and 20 donkeys on the farm, we need all the help we can get with feeding the herd and giving them the retirement life they deserve! All the details of these 3 fundraisers are at www.bighooffoundation.org We hope you enjoy this video! Make sure you like, comments and subscribe to our channel so you don't miss anything happening around the farm! Because it's never a dull moment! Thank you for watching! We have a Patreon account too! Please check it out as we will be posting exclusive content for members along with pictures, Q&A sessions and much more! Membership for exclusive daily content for our basic tier is only $5.00 per month! If you sign up for the "Liam" tier you will also get all the exclusive content plus daily content of Liam! No more Liam withdraw for his favorite fans! Included with the Liam tier, is a horses of the week! We include additional footage of a specific horse all week long along with all the other videos on the page. Check it out at... / fletcherfarmsamarillo817 Another way to support us is with feed...the one item WE always need is FEED! If you would like to send a gift/donation of feed (Alfa Pro or beardless wheat) you can send that through our local feed store, HF & C Amarillo. When you call, tell them you are sending a gift to Fletcher Farms Amarillo/Big Hoof Foundation and they will add the gifts to our account. We are feeding the herd round bales of beardless wheat and the horses go through about 6 bales every few days. A round bale of beardless wheat is $140. We also use small square bales of beardless wheat and can be purchased through HF&C Amarillo for $14.95 each. Our special needs horses also eat Alfa-Pro which is a complete pelleted alfalfa mixed with vitamins and minerals. Alfa-Pro is $17.45 per bag. They do offer a discount if you purchase by the pallet (40 - 50 pound bags) $16.95 per bag if purchased by the pallet.
