Hey everybody! Thank you so much for watching, there are a few things I forgot to talk about in the video that I will address here: When talking about wiring, we are only referring to 12VDC connecting to a Motor Guide XI3 with about an 8ft distance between the motor and battery. Our setup is what works for that specific circumstance. That is in no way a universal rule for all motors, voltages, and vessels. It significantly alters the kayak's stability and maneuverability due to the added weight and power, making it difficult to control, increasing the risk of capsizing, and it is almost universally banned in kayak tournaments as well as some states actually have laws against it. As much as I hate the "just buy a boat" comments, if that is your intent with your kayak, it is NOT the right vessel for your needs.
