There were times when my only piece of equipment was the Yamaha RM1x. While going through some old floppy discs I’ve came across some really old tracks from around 2005-2007. I was surprised how playful and full of energy these are. Technically and soundwise they are all pretty funky but I was really stunned by the liveliness of these old projects. So I’m like…yeah let’s share em. Maybe some people will even remember some of these from the past live shows. Shees that was ages ago… Ok, let’s go. 3/7 This one is called Fogfields and it was made in 2006. Back in the day, I used to play this one live a lot. The beat is an Aphex Twin ripoff...well kind of. The kick and zap sounds are taken directly from a track called Isoprophlex and are included within the RM1x sound bank. He mentioned Yamaha sampling these sounds for this machine in one of his interviews. Enjoy.
