We’re finally traveling to our dream country — Japan! And it’s winter! ❄️ It took us a couple of months to collect winter clothes — sobrang pang-beginners lang to. I had to watch a lot of vlogs and read up on the basics for first-time travelers to a winter country. I tried the capsule closet theory and only bought a few items to mix and match for our 14-day trip. I watched so many vlogs about what to bring, but forgot to watch how to pack! 😅 Super challenging to fit all our stuff in two 23” bags and 1 hand carry each for my husband and me. We decided to bring one luggage each because most vlogs mentioned there would be a lot of walking and stairs (and that’s so true — kaya I’m really happy with our decision). Anyway, there’s always a first time! Here’s a quick summary of what we packed for our first winter trip to Japan: 1. 2 pairs of Heattech 2. 2 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of joggers 3. 5 long sleeves (black, navy blue, white, brown, gray) 4. 1 knitted sweater, 2 sweaters (blue and gray) 5. 1 puffer jacket, 1 black coat, 1 gray coat 6. Socks, 1 pair of winter boots, 1 pair of walking shoes 7. A few shirts (which we didn’t even use — so optional!) 8. 1 shawl each, 2 pairs of gloves (we bought another pair in Japan) 9. Paracetamol, Kremil S, Decolgen, and other emergency meds 10. Some toiletries (di rin masyado nagamit — most hotels provide them; just bring tissue for public restrooms) Tipid Tip: We only started buying stuff after we received our visa para di masyadong mabigat sa bulsa. Most of our items are from Shein — even our Heattech! And surprisingly, lumaban naman sila sa lamig! 🙌 P.S. We bought an extra luggage pauwi!
