VCBC Board of Director Nominees 2023

The VCBC will be holding its Annual General Meeting this year on Wednesday October 11th, at the VCBC store front on 1625 Quadra St from 3:00 to 5:00pm. This venue is wheelchair accessible, there is street parking, and is easily accessible via bus, biking and walking. This year we have 4 Board of Director positions up for re-election and two unfilled positions up for nomination. If you would like some more information on what it means to be on the Board, please speak with Ted directly, or e-mail [email protected]. Participants must be nominated by a member of the VCBC to be on the Board, but you do not have to be a member to be on the Board. Nominations can be done in person in the VCBC Store front, or they can be submitted via email to [email protected] Nominations open September 6th and will close October 6th. All nominees will then produce a 1 minute video that will be distributed to our members and made available publicly online so our membership can learn a bit about each candidate in advance of the vote. During the AGM we will be gathering in person as well as streaming the event online. To access the event online, we will share a link to a Google Meet online meeting and members can submit votes for the Board of Directors via email to [email protected]. To vote please send your VCBC member number and up to 6 names for your voting submission. We will also go over the year's finances and we will hear from Ted Smith, the Executive Director of the VCBC, about the vision for our club for the future.
