I stop and sit here on the road Do not ask me to walk further If your love can be complete without mine Let me turn back from seeing you I've been traveling to seek you my Friend for long Yet i refuse to beg a sigh of you if you do not feel my need I am blind with market dust and midday glare And so wait my heart's lover in a hope that your own love will send you find me out It is lucky that i am an empty vessel for when you swim i keep floating by your side Your full vessels are left on the empty shore they are for use But i'm carried to the river in your arms and i dance to the rythm of your heartthrows heaving of the waves The poet Rabindranath Tagore was fond of Bauls' poetry. Bauls are people from Bengali, musicians and hobbos. Tagore gave here a traduction in english of a Bauls' poem. I wrote the music and maid the interpretation. You can't tell if it's speaking about human or divine love. The One that loves needs our love too and need our emptiness to float at His side as a vessel and pass the river.
