Presentation from Dr Lori Heise (Senior Lecturer in Social Epidemiology at LSHTM; Chief Executive of STRIVE Constortium) at "Making connections: Women, sanitation and health" event. "Making connections: Women, sanitation and health" took place on 29th April 2013 at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). It was convened by LSHTM and WaterAid as partners of the SHARE Research Consortium. The event brought together a diverse mix of academics, journalists, practitioners and activists from the WASH, gender and health sectors to present and debate critical issues on linking gender, sanitation and health including violence against women and girls, maternal health and menstrual hygiene.
